The way I understand it, major accidents usaully involve injuries and/or death.

Realize that the word accident can be used without any adj.s attached.

This has gotten a bit silly - debating the connotations of "major" and "minor."

Perhaps we can agree it's great no one got hurt etc. but "major" damage was done to the cars in question and it was a "very bad" parking job with "minor" impact on human beings, outside the economics of getting the cars fixed etc.

And also that it was "very illegal" to leave the scene and "very stupid" to think you could do so and not get caught when it's a place you drive to regularly...
