Sigh - just in time for the long weekend, and the Heritage Festival. 😭

Aside from later this week and a bit of hot weather at the start of the month, sure been a mild, rainy and windy July this year. Pretty disappointing.

I've gone camping three times since mid-June and have had a total of one full-sun and hot day, which was on the last day of one of our trips as we were packing up to leave. It feels like most of the few really nice days we've had have fallen mid-week. I'm off next week so I'm hoping that rain doesn't stick around too long.

For summer, I want nice, hot weather.

I know it brings forest fires but summer is for hot weather with evening/overnight showers/thunderstorms.

Was in Hinton a couple weekends ago, and we had about 3 hours of sunlight over the course of 4 days. Invested in a decent tarp as soon as I got home.

Every area that had massive forest fires had flooding right after. Ft mac I particular. I was in doing damage assessment for the fire then A rainstorm 2 months later flooded areas missed in the downtown area.

Mount edit road is still not open because of stability issues. No roots to hold the hill. So any rain will cause debris flows. Again this happened as well in Litton.
