I'm always excited to see the results of a census, but man with all the discourse I've seen online about the census I genuinely don't know how they will manage to get anything other than estimations. a certain subset of the population seem to be so upset about the Census that I can't imagine the headache the census workers are going to have to deal with.

It's "I'm a big strong dissenter" online vibes. Same thing with that person who harassed Jagmeet Singh 2 years ago in Parliament Hill, the moment Singh was ready to throw down, they lost all "courage".

Anyone who hates the census can face the end of my musket. It's once every 5 years, takes 20 minutes, and is so heavily relied upon in public policy and research that it should be more laborious.

Refusing the census outright is a $1000 fine. With enough uptake from the bottom 20% of the bell curve, we might be able to pay down the national debt.
