Perhaps they have submitted a BP here? Couldn't they run 2 X construction sites at the same time?

I don't get what makes the Hat site being built so attractive it is moving ahead quickly, while the other almost across the street has languished for over a decade, other than a bad history and past poor decisions made regarding development of the Mezzo.

"....don't get what makes the Hat site being built so attractive....." - what does this mean?

Cidex probably got a good deal on the site, and they have big pockets to move forward with projects, is my guess. Nothing makes it more attractive

I think some developers like starting multiple projects at once to cut costs like admin and other overheard costs by allocating to multiple sites. So if you look at it that way, the Calgary project starting up may be a good sign.

Is this sign new? It looks fresh.

Not sure, but I really hope it means that things are moving ahead. 🤞

That empty lot is sad. ☹️

The old garage being empty is also sad. ☹️

The gravel parking lots that will become Hat Towers 2&3 are also somewhat sad. ☹️

If the proposed projects all move ahead and someone does something with the garage the area will be very cool an unrecognizable from a couple years ago.
