Looks like the PWHL game is now sold out - 1 week after tickets went on sale and a full 2.5 months before puck drop.
Went to the PWHL game today, was a very full crowd and a fun game. Would love to see a franchise in Edmonton, definitely looks like there would be support for it.

RELEASE: New advanced security to further enhance Rogers Place fan experience | Edmonton Oilers
Innovative system designed to streamline ingress process for fans attending indoor & outdoor eventswww.nhl.com
The outdoor stuff definitely takes away “bar” crowds from elsewhere. But I think the away game watch parties are mostly a net gain if families and those uninterested in the rowdiness of the outdoor venues go.So... True North is going to charge $10-20 for their fan park and 'Whiteout' capped at a max of 5000, with $5 going to charity.
I would bet that we see the same for ICE this year; while still a decent price to be in such a neat venue for the game, I hope that we see a lot more people on Whyte and Jasper again creating more pockets of excitement that are 'free' and spreading the economic impact across the city, especially to many small business owners.
Well at least it will fill a space vacant for several years facing the street. While I realize the original concept was different, it doesn't seem like others (than the banks) are rushing to fill the empty spaces here.IceBank District![]()
