Looks like the PWHL game is now sold out - 1 week after tickets went on sale and a full 2.5 months before puck drop.

So... True North is going to charge $10-20 for their fan park and 'Whiteout' capped at a max of 5000, with $5 going to charity.

I would bet that we see the same for ICE this year; while still a decent price to be in such a neat venue for the game, I hope that we see a lot more people on Whyte and Jasper again creating more pockets of excitement that are 'free' and spreading the economic impact across the city, especially to many small business owners.

The outdoor stuff definitely takes away “bar” crowds from elsewhere. But I think the away game watch parties are mostly a net gain if families and those uninterested in the rowdiness of the outdoor venues go.

That was my experience. Tons of families with kids inside, like oil kings pretty much. Then teenagers and young adults outside. And more of the older crowd in the bars (I hear standing on concrete for 5hrs becomes less fun after 50, or so my dad claims).

Super random and weird. I guess great for their branding. Banks are great stable long term tenants but in other cities this would be actual retail.
