Good news:

The property has been sold and the two-storey Massey-Ferguson showroom building at the south end will be preserved, restored and incorporated into the new student housing development (the rest of the existing building will be demolished). The plans right now are for mid-rise buildings on the site.

Gotta ask...what's considered mid-rise, story wise?

Possibly 6 - 7 storeys across four buildings for the entire block. Looks like 400 - 600 units total at full build-out. No detailed design yet so these are all ballpark right now.

If it is, one thing I'd expect from anything they build is good quality finishes and practicality. I recently viewed a few units from them and they're good

It's not BTC Housing, but it IS a BC-based developer (not from the Lower Mainland or the Island though).
