Sometimes the universe really does sort things out in the end. Lamb who barged in and grabbed a name already in use has skulked back to TO and the original Jasper House seems to be proceeding towards making an impressive addition.

Looking good... I would still like to see some form of upper wall terminus -- a cornice of some sort perhaps -- to give the facades more of a completed "feel".

I would have just continued using the black vertical bands vs. breaking it up with the white panels.

I don't mind the white panels -- augments the white on the corner 'neath the sculpture. Also breaks up that expressed (annoying) horizontal floor slab.

I'm ok with this. This building has been generic, ubiquitous and forgettable since birth so really just a continuation. Let's see what they do with the empty land.

I'd disagree with that.

Given its prominent location, simple but classic design, piece of art and green, it stood out for me. We have a lot of generic beige, precast, earth tone and now have shifted to a lot of white, black, grey and don't need more of them.

Not sure if we have any shortage of vomit green in our buildings either. Black and white can look sharp if done right. I'm hoping they keep the artwork though; I'll agree there.

Ultimately this building will be overshadowed by the new neighbour anyways.
