This feels basically like a farmers market hybrid with a mall. Really excited for it. Great stepping stone for some before full stores, and great small footprint format for those not needing full stores in our digital era. One of these plus a cheap warehouse in Leduc feels like a strong model for a lot of businesses.

So how would construction timelines look like for a project like this that utilizes shipping containers versus a traditional build? I assume shorter, but have no idea to be honest.

This was supposed to be completed this past summer, but we are already in the middle of autumn and nothing's been done yet construction-wise.
It's still working through the process. Some service requirements came up that are now being worked through, in addition to some Provincial regulations under the Historic Resources Act.

There were some on-site a couple weeks back. Not sure if they were just for advertising purposes or if they will be part of the actual development.

Same as BoxPark in Shoredtich or Croydon in London. It's where the concept came from.

Update: We received our development permit approval today! We have been moving forward with our detailed design and are hoping to submit our Building Permit by mid-month. We plan to mobilize in January.
So happy for you guys!! 🥳🥳
