Only 1x weekly, while YYC got 5 new routes. Panama City and Guadalajara are interesting additions.Westjet will be adding YEG-MBJ this winter starting in November. This is a part of their new “partnership” (ownership) of Sunwing Vacations.
This is great for Edmonton and YEG, but not everything has to be some competition with YYC. I don’t think anybody saw this positive news as such. This whole schtick is getting pretty tired.Nice! $800M+ PLUS 1000 jobs! Unlike YYC’s failed-never-to-break-ground Bombardier Fire bomber “campus” this will see the light of day. Kinda helps having a hometown PM I guess?!
Every time something good happens in YYC we tend to get it shoved down our throats whether we care to hear about it or not, so I feel the negative posts about them may be a reaction to that which is also tiring. This is great for Edmonton and YEG, but not everything has to be some competition with YYC. Oh yeah? Well what’s your schtick? Not contributing anything to the discussion? Well if that’s the case, keep it up…you’re doing great work! This is great for Edmonton and YEG, but not everything has to be some competition with YYC. Doing the whole YEG v YYC thing at every turn doesn't contribute anything either... just sayingOh yeah? Well what’s your schtick? Not contributing anything to the discussion? Well if that’s the case, keep it up…you’re doing great work!
