Ryanair perhaps? Wouldn't that be something. Would fit with the general image of the Edmonton market's desire for low-cost travel.

With a push like this I wonder if something isn't already lined up and it's more of a marketing campaign.
Yes, I wonder if something is in the works. There seems to be a a big decline in travel to the US happening so maybe some of that will go to Europe this summer.

The demand definitely exists and is increasing, it's just a matter of how much.
It really is too bad none of the airlines in question for this route currently have narrow-bodies capable of flying YEG-LHR, as that would increase the chances of the route being introduced. An A321xlr would be perfect for this route.

Said it before will say it again I don’t see anyone wasting a narrow body on a slot at LHR.

Only fly B737 that do not have the range , it is a narrow body and they don’t fly into LHR. So unless you want to fly to London Luton airport a big fat zero

1. Tell that to AC with their YHZ-LHR on a MAX 8, or JetBlue with JFK/BOS-LHR on the A320 series.
2. Gatwick still exists; TS, WS, and BA all serve some Canadian cities from LGW (TS from YYZ + YUL, WS from YYT + YHZ, BA from YVR).

TS would be a good candidate with their new XLR to LGW but as far as I know they don’t have an interline agreement with WS but they do with Porter through YYZ and YUL.

But like earlier stated, TS wants nothing to do with Western Canada and this is highly unlikely to change.

Just as unlikely as any other scenario. Maybe this could be their re-entry into the western market with a more suitable aircraft. All possibilities seem unlikely to me so it will be interesting to see who if anyone bights

According to this Reddit thread https://www.reddit.com/r/Edmonton/s/XTmICL9yLa the pickup point for Ubers has now been mandated to the pickup road on the other side of the parking garage. I have been really frustrated with this change at YEG pushing this distant arrivals pickup area which is a bad look for folks arriving in our city and I don’t know of any airports that push such a distant walk (including up and down ramps/stairs). I really hope they’ll reconsider this foolish approach.

Seems like some inside negotiations between the airport and local taxi companies.
