The homeless guy that set himself on fire - multiple times - yup - more than once - kept cooking his batch even after he went out the first time - in one the alcoves a few years ago....

That's awful. Unfortunate that alcoves have become drug use amenity spaces. I see it even at Bonnie Doon mall.

The Hat at 5 Corners is a proverbial island in a sea of pavement and it doesn't help that development hasn't followed around it.

I was looking forward to Cidex developing where the mall was across from Five Corners but I think that's way on the backburner for them now.

I have a feeling that development would have helped the area too.
