A brand-new high-rise is under construction in downtown Edmonton | Daily Hive | Urbanized
A brand-new high-rise is on the way for downtown Edmonton, with the second tower in the Falcon development currently under construction.dailyhive.com
First tower by my count 28 second tower 35.Is the first tower now taller than the 30 floor second yet to be completed second tower?
1st tower is 30First tower by my count 28 second tower 35.
Their inability to properly distinguish between construction announced and happening leads me to question their competence or reliability, so I would tend to go with what has been previously indicated unless more credible sources say otherwise. The article from Daily Hive say tower two is 30 floors, but then again I'm not sure I'd trust their info. Could easily be 35 like the rendering.
Either way it looks like construction is very close.
It’s a joke….we get it….not officially under construction but will be at some point…..Their inability to properly distinguish between construction announced and happening leads me to question their competence or reliability, so I would tend to go with what has been previously indicated unless more credible sources say otherwise.

Motion of Support: D. Brown
Seconded: J. Mills
The Committee welcomes this proposed development, and in the interest of ensuring a high standard of urban design recommends the following:
For the Motion: D. Brown, J. Monfries, N. LaMontagne, N. Pryce, M.Tindall, J. Mills, G. Freer, C. Dorward, K. Dietermann
- With reference to the key descriptors (Walkable, Dynamic, Street Activity, Outdoors Patio's, Commercial Street, Interface, Vibrant, Event Flexible, etc.) provided in the design narrative, further design refinement should be considered with respect to creating more prominent patio/gathering/commercial spill-out space along 104 Street and 100 Avenue frontages, rather than a space predominantly dedicated to bicycle parking.
- Quality products and materials should be selected in the design development of the third floor outdoor amenity space to visually integrate the space as seen from street level and surrounding towers.
Against the Motion: None
Obstained: S. Gibson
Construction still not underway after a month of that Daily Hive article?
