Looks like Eagle Builders is going crazy with buildings there.

So another dozen buildings that will look very similar to Century Gardens…well now we know who bought the site for what $40 Million I think it was listed for?

This is what kills me. We have THOUSANDS of units of apartments being built over the last 15 years south of this, with many residents of those apartments busing to century to then take the train.
We need to concentrate our density build outs more so they’re successful and effective.
There’s no appeal to TOD when it’s not walkable, a 20 year construction site (new suburbs are usually only 5-10 years of headache), and ugly.
It’s almost like we need substantial completion standards for density/TOD/corridors as well. The success of quickly built out, complete communities like the University District or West District by Truman in Calgary should be our model.

Well there we have it……Procura sold it and now FINALLY we might see some serious building going on now! But does Eagle build mod apartments taller than 6 storeys? Are we gonna get some towers? Thoughts? Concerns….lol.

Century Gardens is 7 stories so yes they do build things more than 6 stories

Looks like 12 buildings in phases over the next 10-15 years, some of them are around 15 stories.
The renders shown look awfully blocky and nowhere near as interesting as the original buildings on the east end. Fingers crossed they are just shown for rough massing, though the current Century Gardens buildings don't give me much hope we'll see anything much better..

Found some larger images, yep these are definitely just rough massing. Looks like most of them will have commercial/retail podiums and some street-facing units so this could actually turn out nice? Glad to see some plans in place at least!

I guess I wish it was denser? The roads look so large and the buildings so far apart. I wish they'd go with a more classic grid style. Maybe something like Mueller redevelopment in Austin. Have some walkability

There's a lot of good things about Mueller, but man Austin's parking requirements are ridiculous. Half of that area is multi storey parkades.
