Not as consequential, but I thought this was pretty cool from a promotional standpoint.

Big fleet upgrade coming: 36 diesel and 7 electric buses from New Flyer. Of interesting note: these will be some of the first to be fully built in Canada.

Looks as if the EV will be fully built in Canada.

While the diesel might still be partially built in the US. As they have the set up now.

Excited to see this finally get started. But I remember the phasing plan saying construction would start in Pickering. Does anyone have the latest phasing plan?

Was just on this stretch of Kingston road today and it is so congested. Lots of people using the bus lane as a bypass for congestion. Hoping there is physical separation of the bus ROW from the roadway.

I tried looking for any updates about a newer phasing plan but I wasn’t able to find one except for an InSauga article.

From the article:
Other high-priority segments in the first phase include Dixie Road to Bainbridge Drive ($28 million) and Steeple Hill to Meritton Drive ($11 million) in Pickering; Rotherglen Road to Harwood Avenue ($11 million) in Ajax; and Lakeridge Road to Des Newman Boulevard ($12 million) in Whitby.

KAPP Infrastructure is said to mobilize the work for the work from around Hardwood/Kingston and Galea Drive/Kingston.
