Don't think so because all the good spots would be full of people and the proper glasses to view the eclipse have been sold out. I'd just watch it on the TV. :)

Basically, everywhere in Richmond is good for spotting planes, especially the areas around the airport. One of the best spots to watch the planes take off and landing is in the Airport shopping outlet mall which is an open plaza where you can look up at the sky anytime anywhere, you could almost see the faces of the passengers on the planes. ;)
