WOW!!! Great to see some action (finally) but they REALLY need to do some grinding and repaving where the bike lane is - primarily just west of Church Street - there are some very rough areas!!

Is should be fun watching traffic during the evening rush hour. I’m guessing the pylons won’t look the same.
We could also probably start a pool on how many weeks/months it will be before motorists realise that the "New Esplanade' will be one-way westbound between Church and Scott! Is should be fun watching traffic during the evening rush hour. I’m guessing the pylons won’t look the same.
It’s already fun! I was watching last night. The Esplanade is already closed eastbound between Scott St and Market St, yet still about 50% of drivers ignore the giant signs and continue the wrong way down the now one way street. Is should be fun watching traffic during the evening rush hour. To be fair, the "CLOSED" signage was not very clear yesterday afternoon clear and the signs were placed on the new BIKE LANE so one could assume it meant "Lane Closed" not "Street Closed." BUT.......It’s already fun! I was watching last night. If they really didn’t want cars going eastbound, they could definitely improve the signage at the 3 way stop.To be fair, the "CLOSED" signage was not very clear yesterday afternoon clear and the signs were placed on the new BIKE LANE so one could assume it meant "Lane Closed" not "Street Closed." It is not Sanscon (thank god) and Rabcon are generally quite good. THe sign is clearly VERY misleading as the Street is clearly NOT closed (and allows motorists the ability to 'assume' it really means a LANE is closed!!If they really didn’t want cars going eastbound, they could definitely improve the signage at the 3 way stop.
Is your favorite contractor Sanscon working on this or maybe it’s Rabcon or someother con.

The City website blames Metrolinx. for the delay south of Queen - no word on the section NORTH of it.Unfortunately this is not unexpected.
