I would go out of my way to take the slide down at the end of the day...

PS Q107 is leaving the Hard Rock Cafe at Yonge and Dundas Sq?????

That staff lounge is how the Thompson Hotel lobby should have been furnished.

a very impressive facility but seems like an uninspiring location for Q107. Ah, perhaps it suits their uninspired music tastes...

Q107 went downhill years ago. It really sadden me the day they gave away their massive vinyl collection. Today they rely on the same 40 songs over and over again.

The lobby is past security. There is a public hallway through the building though (the fish in the last image are suspended over it). We'll give you a better look at that hallway tomorrow.

Yes, its all very whimsical, fresh, young and full of colourful vitality, kind of like what Google did 10 years ago in its headquarters. Why they could have taken some of that informal attitude and apply it to this super drab slab of green glass and concrete.

Thanks for the photo tour.

ooh that is going to be one big dusting challenge for the maintenance people. Not liking the floor much. The tubes across the atrium are very slick, Jack, as is the skin.

As I said in the Corus thread (with attached photos for support), what immediately comes to mind are images of the Tate Modern Art Gallery and Charles De Gaulle Airport. In 2006 at the Tate they had the metal and glass slides exhibit (much cooler looking than the Corus ones). In regards to the glass tubes going acroos the atrium, that was done at De Gaulle back in the 1960's. It is quite obvoius where these architects get their "inspiration" from.
