Looks like they're trying to rebuild the place.

They need to fix their ecom, first and foremost.
I never really fully understood the difference between Sport Chek and Atmosphere.

I really only used their e-commerce during Covid and it wasn't great but neither were a lot of them. They were either rushed into service or, if already in place, overwhelmed by the traffic. To this day I can't get Walmart's e-commerce to work for me. The few times I actually got an order through, it invariably cancels it. I gave up.

I wouldn't say 'rebuild'. They're trimming some stuff, and freeing up some capital............. they have plans........ stay tuned.

I’ve been a vendor to Canadian Tire for years and have good insight into their e-commerce problems.

One location I'd keep an eye on is 4630 Sheppard Ave, right across the street from the future Sheppard East Station.

Canadian Tire has bought the Bay's Stripes!

Walking down the aisles of Canadian Tire, I found it hard to see Hudson’s Bay brand succeeding in the stores. The clothing and attire at Canadian Tire seems very blue collar-oriented, clashing with the more genteel HBC brand.

I 100% agree!

Crappy Tire always sold clothing and attire dedicated to the outdoorsman.

They are a sporting good and automotive store with a bit of housewares mixed in. I suspect putting HBC items in their stores will go over as well as the Debbie Travis collection.

Can you imagine full bedsets, watches and cosmetics being sold at Canadian Tire?

They really ought to tailor their product to the store location. Camouflage gear at Dundas and Bay is (I suspect) a rather tough sell.

Perhaps someone else can clarify but I don't believe dealers have any flexibility regarding what they sell.

I didn't consider this. For the record, this was at the Burlington Centre location.
