So I'm here thinking about all the different streets in the downtown core especially between 95th Street to109th Street, and Jasper Avenue to 104th Street. Some of the roads have already been improved, modified and adjusted to accommodate the downtown of today and tomorrow that I think we are hoping to see. But with that said there are still certain streets that have not changed but could or should be modified to reflect a new vibrant downtown core.

I'm curious what kind of other thoughts people have regarding this idea when looking at the downtown as a whole. Are we done with improvements and changes to the roadways and the sidewalks or are there other things we can do to improve the movement and livability of the downtown core.

A couple thoughts that I have, good or bad is for others to assess, are the following.
1. Continue to improve 108th Street and 106th Street to be very pedestrian friendly accommodating all the new residential that is moving in to the area. I think additional benches and other Street Furniture for pedestrians and future residents of the area would be a good thing to see.
2. 103rd Street from 102nd to 103rd Ave could potentially be completely converted to a pedestrian only road that could further emphasize the restaurants on that block and further facilitate pedestrians coming and going from the ice District. Especially if something could ever be redeveloped on the east side of the street, where the lifeless ECC building and parkade sit, this could see restaurants and small food vendors move in and really help the area to actually become a bit more of an entertainment/dining area.
3.102nd street should be reimagined somehow as I believe has become a very quiet street especially because it essentially deadends at ECC from Jasper ave.

These are some of my late night thoughts. Good or bad I don't know, maybe it's just my jet lag talking. Anybody else have thoughts on these thoughts of mine or any of the other roads within the area I described at the start of this post?

As a layman I agree with these points, but I do think we should get the low hanging fruit out of the way as well: pedestrianizing rice howard way and 104th st (at least between jasper and 103 ave).

And I know there's hesitation for it, but doing all this would be more justification for pedestrianizing most of 102 ave to serve as a spine between these pedestrian areas.
