I remember seeing these proposals in the Herald when I was a kid.
Once a year the Herald would come with a 6 or 6 page foldout showing of all the new proposals for that year. There were a bunch of renderings on a two page fold out, and then blurbs on each proposal, plus a few other articles mixed in. It was one of my favorite days of the year, right up there with Christmas and Halloween!
The proposals I wish the most to have gotten built are:
1) FCC II
2) Plaza 75
3) Macintyre Plaza
Especially the very first iteration of FCCII, the 64 floor version.

I wasn't born and raised in Calgary, so pardon my ignorance, but what is this building?

Interesting. I've heard about the proposed Fingernail Building but have never been able to find a rendering.

It was reportedly a real dump towards the end of its life
