Not sure I would want a crane buzzing above my granddaughter’s head at the day care.

This was during one of the recent windy days, and the crane was operating. It did feel a bit concerning for the kids playing outside, or pedestrians in general, in case any construction material wasn't fully secured.

Busy district already. Very impressed with the amount of mixed -use developing on the western side of Calgary - I guess with the land limitations to the west and the high demand to live in the foothills, we will continue to see much more of these types of developments on this side of town.

I had it in my head that buildings like this weren't considered very economic to build for a while - something about how point towers were more effective? I think someone told me that maybe a decade or two ago and I just never revisited that hypothesis. Obviously this one is getting built so clearly this scale/form works in some situations!

Good to see a bit of variation in form and height too, not everything 6 storeys or a skyscraper.

Galloway is similar to this one. A large footprint with only 10 stories getting 323 units. I was surprised Ayrshire didn't go for two highrises instead.
