Saddledome lands should be turned into a giant outdoor amphitheater and park space. That is my wish at least….
Are the updated renders available for public view?Saw the updated renders of these last week. They've changed the white cladding to black... not a fan.
Please for the love of God say sikeSaw the updated renders of these last week. They've changed the white cladding to black... not a fan.
Ive been wondering if they couldn't just salvage the southeastern 1/3 of the lower bowl of the Saddledome and use that as a basis of the outdoor amphitheater. Seems like a good way to make the cost palatable to the Stampede.I could see the saddledome location being a good spot for an amphitheater. Especially id the amphitheater sets faced towards downtown, it would make a nice backdrop.
I wouldn’t be a fan either. I prefer they stayed with the light beige, but maybe the black will cool.Saw the updated renders of these last week. They've changed the white cladding to black... not a fan.
Changed to 14 storeys (see DP2025-03902) - thanks for the update.the black cladding looks pretty slick but this could just be my opinion. Unfortunately the revised plans are not available on DMAP. This is currently a 15 storey building, not 12 as suggested by the title.
And then put a new lightweight canopy roof on top that is saddledome shaped.Ive been wondering if they couldn't just salvage the southeastern 1/3 of the lower bowl of the Saddledome and use that as a basis of the outdoor amphitheater. That would actually fit with the theme of Autograph hotels which are supposed to be different and boutique for each property. And then put a new lightweight canopy roof on top that is saddledome shaped.
It's such a no brainer I will keep harping on it every time this gets brought up
