That affordable housing project by Sturgess has aged horribly. The sun bleaching on the neon green panels is atrocious up close. Balconies appear to have permanent shadows and the faded areas look like piss. Whatever possessed them to choose that material and colour scheme is beyond me. Normally his work is so much better.

Bigtime. I don't know what type of material they used, but when I looked at it up close, it looked more particle board than Hardie board, and it was still fairly new material back then. I'm hoping there's lessons learned and these new types of Hardie Board/composite hold much better over time.
