Curious why the roof has a barn shape now, hope that's not final.

I have a feeling that there are still more trusses to be popped on once these are up. Let’s hope that’s the case.

You can see the other trusses on the ground in the photo.
I know it's safe/to code, but that seems massive and tall for a 100% wood structure.

Surprised they would do them as 2 piece trusses, maybe to reduce weight the crane has to lift...

Much like the rendering, the proportions here are pretty much perfect. 6-storey, with some minor articulation on the front side and a full block with no pointless setbacks.
While we are accustomed to towers in the city centre, this is how dense urban areas can also look and operate just fine. Huge density boost, while being easy for residents to live close to the ground. cool!

My original reaction was that it looked silly, but I actually like the contrast and more human scale of it now. Curious to see the finished product. If it's cheapo siding my opinion could change.

I loved this project at this location right from the start. I had a feeling this scale / massing / aesthetic would work well, and so far it is 100% on point... very European-ish. Looking forward to seeing the how the final material selection plays out!
