Need the economics of the dealerships to change in order for them to move. Considering the GM one was fairly new that one isn't go anywhere and because of that Ford won't go anywhere either. I guess convenient for any downtown worker to drop their car off for service.
 
If I remember correctly, in 2006ish, there was a zoning application to put up a few big apartment buildings where Advantage Ford is. The community of Bonavista on the other side of Lake Fraser Drive were very opposed, and Council didn't seem to be in support (can't remember if it even went to a vote or not) so the developer said forget it, and built the car dealership. Any other long-term member here remember that?
That should not be allowed. I understand that technically that parcel of land is within Bonavista, but it feels like it's outside the neighborhood. I think people should have a say in what happens in to their neighborhood but this is a huge missed opportunity in my opinion.
