With how close Beaumont is to Edmonton I'm actually surprised that there hasn't been way more development on the northern part of Beaumont.
It’s not as easy to get to from Edmonton versus the other bedroom communities. I had to drive down there from the university area once and my options were Calgary Trail (from which I’d have to take a dangerous 2-lane highway to reach the town) or 50th Street (which will still have tons of traffic lights on the way even if fully twinned). Took me ages to make the drive because it was also peak hours.

The Nisku Spine Rd is the way to go......

It’s happening!

Here's a full list of changes. I have to include it as a screenshot because for some reason they used images instead of text for their Bylaw file.

What’s this? I do remember back in the day reading about this. Supposedly it was meant for YEG but it has now migrated to Beaumont?

Considering how close Beamont is to the city, this is fine to see. Another 5 years, Edmonton and Beamont will be very close, 10 years and the two communities will be seperated by a road and an intersection.

Beaumatian Nimby’s were losing their s@@t over this one…..don’t blame them….bad location….changed the zoning at the last minute apparently…..
