I remembered that when the CityNews Channel was on the air, it had those annoying MarineLand commercials (same with Omni News, CP24, and SNN), despite the fact that the Toronto Star uncovered said theme park's animal abuses. I had to mute the commercials, since flipping to CP24 can lead to another annoying MarineLand commercial (it happened to me a few times) when I want to see the news.
I thought that the Toronto Star extinguished those commercials for good. I was wrong. They are still on Omni News and CP24.
