On the Mississauga committee of adjustment agenda next month, there is a request for a minor variance for a new hotel at Hurontario and Derry. There is also a variance request for an addition to the convention centre next door. I believe that both are owned by the same company, JDass.
A google search of the address turned up this project rendering from JDass, and an earlier minor variance, which says a 10-storey hotel is proposed. JDass' website also seems to have a render for a second hotel on the other side of the convention centre.
(EDIT: I found an additional variance request for the second hotel site, at 7055 Derrycrest. That hotel is apparently a 7-storey proposal.)
