Wow they're really packing them in for a suburb. I guess York Region is serious about getting their money's worth on their share of the subway costs. Also FYI, that subway station will be ~200m west of Jane & Hwy7 at Millway.

This is really some pretty lazy architecture. Especially as it seems to be largely a reheat of Kirkor's designs at Bayview and Sheppard.

^^^ jswag & ds1, you said it!! though these are a step down from NY Towers in my opinion. What is the timeline on that masterplan anyways? 50 years?

34 and 35 storeys is way too short. These buildings would look great if they added at least another 20 floors to each tower otherwise they are going to look like the NY Towers stumps.

The rendering looks like a Sim City video game.

That's a quintessential suburban cookie cutter design. The architect should be tarred and feathered.

I like the master plan but 7 OF THOSE IDENTICAL TOWERS!!! cmon already, we need some variation,

I guess toronto's suburbs are REALLY booming :D

Should be called 5 City Center Condos, literally!

...or "Which tower do I live in again?" Condos

Who would buy here? I'm pretty sure the only reason people live in Vaughan is so they can have a mcmansion, pool, and 3 car garage.

Atrocious architecture, just unacceptable. This proves again that the suburbs still have a while before they "get it".

Official plan

In the next 20 years Vaughan will increase urban boundries just 3% while adding 68% to population. 45% of the growth will occur in "Intensification Areas" on 4% of the land and 40% of the municipality will be protected greenspace.

Sounds like a forward thinking plan.
