Brad Bradford officially became a mayoral candidate this morning and in quick succession Press Progress put out a statement that they have filed a complaint with Toronto's Integrity Commissioner against Bradford.

Their complaint is summed up below;
On April 2, 2026, a full month before candidates could even register to run for Mayor of Toronto, Councillor Brad Bradford was the featured participant at a cash-for-access event in Concord, Ontario billed as “An Evening With Brad Bradford.” Individuals were allowed to meet with Councillor Bradford for fees ranging from $250 to $3,000. The event was orchestrated by lobbyist Nick Ainis and held in Concord, Ontario, far from Councillor Bradford’s constituents in Beaches—East York and even Toronto residents. This event calls into question the essential tenets of our democracy and demands nothing less than a full investigation to protect public confidence in local government.

In their submission to the Integrity Commissioner, they raise the question, among others, "Will the funds raised be laundered for use for campaign purposes either by Councillor Bradford directly or third parties sharing his agenda?"

Can imagine the next 5 months are going to be eventful

I’ve soured on Progress Toronto somewhat, especially after the 2022 general election, but they have a very good point here. The optics are bad, and we don’t know where the money went.

We got another Gong show on our hands for this fall's election with Xiao Hua Gong having registered to run for Mayor again! Cue in the memes, folks! 😉

I keep seeing posts on THIS thread and assume it's Bad Badford!

It's official, Olivia Chow is running for re-election

Chow's campaign website is up and running.

Toronto,

Olivia Chow is running for re-election. Let’s build a more affordable, safe and caring city.

In just three years as our Mayor, she’s shown what’s possible. School meals for kids, transit fares frozen, libraries open seven days a week, more emergency service and crisis workers on the street, and record investment fought and won from other levels of government.

But the work’s not done.

Each day at City Hall, Olivia Chow fights to make life better for the people of Toronto. Her commitment to us and her love for our city have driven her for decades. As trustee, councillor, MP and now Mayor.

This fall, she's running to continue her work building a more affordable, safe and caring city.

Right now, Team Olivia Chow is laying the groundwork for the campaign. Over the coming days and weeks, we’ll share ways you can support our campaign and help us connect with every Torontonian.

Olivia Chow has dedicated her life to serving the people of Toronto. She’s always been in our corner and she always will be.

— Team Olivia Chow
