Construction Update - April 2025 (97 Street to 127 Street)
It’s the third year of 132 Ave Renewal West and we are scheduled to start in April 2025! Work will consist of reconstruction and paving of the roads, removal and replacement of public sidewalk, curb, gutter and street lighting.
This year, the majority of construction will take place from 113 A Street to 121 Street. Please view this
scope map to see the 2025 construction area. Work will also happen in the commercial area along 113 A Street.
For those who live in the 2025 construction area, specifically from 113 A Street and 121 Street, the remaining landscaping work is scheduled to start at the same time as this year’s construction. Landscaping work is highly dependent on weather and sod availability.
The City of Edmonton and EPCOR are working together to construct
Low Impact Development (LID), which will help with stormwater retention and help mitigate flooding.
If you live in the 2025 construction area, please watch your mailbox for construction bulletins that will provide more information along with details on landscaping and access. All residents and business owners are asked to access their homes and businesses through the back entrances and alleys, where possible, during construction. If no alley access is available and/or you have special access requirements (i.e. DATS or a temporary access ramp to the front of your home), please contact the Construction Project Manager, Alban Ukshini, 780-496-4055, to coordinate.
Construction on 132 Avenue West began in May 2023 and is anticipated to be complete in 4 years (fall 2026). The entire 132 Avenue Collector Renewal project (Fort Road to 127 Street) is expected to take 5 years (completion in fall 2027). 132 Avenue Renewal West is progressing on time and on budget.
