    Edmonton International Airport (EIA/YEG)

Haven't been but I heard this is a good spot: https://maps.app.goo.gl/UurBrgzTmcdrdeTm9 Also there is an observation lounge inside the airport, the doorway is a bit hard to find though: Public Observation Area Level 3, (Mezzanine) YEG Main Terminal This deck provides great views of the...

    High Level Bridge

I think the idea is to prevent costly damage to the bridge by having trucks crash into the girder instead, which can be replaced easily if it gets bent out of shape.

    High Level Bridge

It looks like the piers are closer to shore on that bridge, whereas the HLB has them right in the river. I thought that was one of the main reasons for the HLB's demise, the pier foundations are being slowly washed away by the river?

This one has been in the same state for about 2 months now, wonder what's happening.

    O-day’min Park (formerly Warehouse Park)

Don't think so, Beaver Hills is right on Jasper and it has plenty of disorder. I think apartment balconies are better for visibility than a bunch of cars whizzing by at 50km/h.

    O-day’min Park (formerly Warehouse Park)

I was at the park last week and saw 3 peace officers that seemed to be patrolling it. No idea how common this is though

    Pedal Poll 2026

Pedal Poll is happening two weeks from now, June 2nd - 7th. The basic idea is you sign up to count bicycle and micromobility traffic at certain spots throughout the city, collecting data to support future active transport infrastructure. Each shift is 2 hours, and you can adjust your time if...

Cycling and Active Transportation in Edmonton

You can also go this way which is a longer/less steep hill than the one by RGC: You're right though this will improve connections into the west part of the river valley. The detour around Wellington is very short, faster than going down into MacKinnon Ravine: Although it seems like no...

Cycling and Active Transportation in Edmonton

I am always happy to see more cycling routes added, but I don't really see how this one will be useful? Anyone going north/south from DT would be better taking HLB, it's more direct and no need to climb out of the river valley. The same applies to anyone going east/west, they would be better...

    Downtown Real Estate

That's the lot right in front of Marriott Courtyard, would be great to see that filled in. Anything built there would have amazing river valley views!

Valley Line LRT | TransEd/Marigold | City of Edmonton

Maybe they think drivers will be confused by there being gates at some crossings and not at others? Though that is already happening with the capital line having gates and not the valley line.
