The City really screwed this one up. If you haven't seen Cowboys Park, you won't believe how bad it is. The area around the no longer working clock, between the asphalt and 9 Ave is gravel. Shame to the City, par for the course for Cowboys.

I don't see why the terms of the "donation" need to be confidential here. This whole thing stinks. I suspect "improving" a park is pretty far down the city's list of reasons for doing this. I'd venture the city wants to have a little bit more influence on the Cowboys tent set-up as the lessor instead of merely permit provider. Perhaps emergency services prefer getting this away from the already difficult to manage small-city that is Stampede Park. And I wonder if Cowboys alternative plan upon their latest eviction (were they in the new arena spot last year?) was even worse for the city?
Or maybe the Stampede contracted them that location for multiple years, and part of the arena deal was the city resolving that or something? This conspiracy theory would play in to no donation value being announced, as it's really just Cowboys paying whatever rent on the space. Just spitballing...something doesn't add up.

The building there now doesn't really match the vibe of the ad (penthouse on the 80th floor in NYC) but if they could make the building actually look like what they show on the renderings I'd be thrilled. Going by the feel of the ad though, I'm not getting my hopes up.

Let's not get down on this guys too too much. Look at the great reviews they have. I'd say they're incredible as always with the Icelandic wooden roof design and slatted interior elements. Lol, it does look more like Denver than Calgary. For those who are too lazy to find an actual pic of Calgary and use AI instead, this is what you get.
That site is arguably the cheesiest, low effort site I've seen for a marketing site to do with Calgary. Which is a shame, but the building looks solid in the renders, but I highly doubt that would be the finished product.

The sad thing now is you can put a pic of the old building into AI and have it spit out multiple renderings of new facades and then pick one you think looks nice. No Architectural effort was involved. That is an immediate flag that this is just a marketing play.
