I don't think it actually is thicker, I looks like its just the little "wall" circled below that makes it look thicker than it actually is, you can kinda see the outline of the slab in the pics as well.

You can see the concrete wall in @kotsy’s photo.
The drawing looks like a 1.83m curtain wall vs a possibly shorter concrete wall but the principal is the same.
 
Wow, from that vantage, Hollywood will be able to shoot movies set in NYC without having to remove the CN Tower LOL
I haven't been following the film industry much anymore. Does Toronto still have a substantial film industry? I remember the '90s, when it was "Hollywood North".

I remember it being reffered to as such in the '70s, and it is still in the top five cities in the world for film production.
 
Anyone still hoping for a miracle to happen and Pinnacle decides to cover the mechanical box? It’s such a crime to have the tallest building in Canada expose such a massive mechanical box while the shorter phase 1 had its mechanical box mostly covered.
