I don't think it actually is thicker, I looks like its just the little "wall" circled below that makes it look thicker than it actually is, you can kinda see the outline of the slab in the pics as well.

I remember it being reffered to as such in the '70s, and it is still in the top five cities in the world for film production.I haven't been following the film industry much anymore. Does Toronto still have a substantial film industry? I remember the '90s, when it was "Hollywood North".
