Interesting not doing both at the same time. Hopefully they are planning on most of the construction of the 2nd tower before the first opens. Wouldn’t want to be paying top dollar to watch and listen to all that while staying in the finished one.

So 273 is the final Height?

Lower than 277 but still higher than Stantec Tower,
Also Taller tower and Entire Podium as Phase 1 is a good sign

That leaves the shorter tower being set for a future phase which means if the 2nd phase is more to round out the Project instead of Gatekeeping ambition behind Lesser builds

Don’t mind some of the changes but underside of balcony slabs aren’t going to glow like that all the way up the building. True up the rendering would ya.

Sides are going to be pretty flat and bland compared to before.

Not sure what that weird bulge is at the top.
The bulge looks to be an outdoor observation deck

LOL correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the only restriction for tower height was anything goes as long as there's no shadows over the Bow River during certain times? This also doesn't seem to be along a flight path.

What is the NAV Canada issue?
Not sure what the issue is with Navcan, but they reference it in the permit. Personally, I don't care too much about the slight drop in height, but if it had have been even one meter higher it would have at least cracked the 900' mark, which would have been nice.

NAV Canada runs the air navigation systems at major Canadian airports. Apparently the height originally proposed would interfere with their equipment somehow, so they had to shave a few meters off the proposed height. Not sure if roughly 900' is the de facto limit to towers in Calgary or if its position at the east edge of the core makes it a bigger issue. The downside of the fact that, out of Canada's biggest cities, our airport is the closest to downtown.

The more I look at the new renders, the more I like them. I much prefer the more subtle roof pitch and the two buildings appear to be more distinct from one another rather than typical twin towers.

The new roof design makes them look even more like cowboy boots too!
