It’s neat to see a building with cladding right up to the newest floor.

This is a rare instance where what’s built is better than the render.

    The Residences at Island Park Drive | 1451 Wellington St. | 39m | 12s | Mizrahi | IBI+Arcadis

Imagine paying $11,000 a month and this is your balcony. Beyond absurd.

Those renders show actual planters vs the curb-height cutouts. Good luck and RIP to the trees that are expected to grow in 12 inches of topsoil.

I love the porta potty on the slope of the roof at the peak 😂 what an incredible place to take a crap.

A few shots from last Friday. It is crazy how prominent these towers are. EDIT: wow Skyrise really destroys the quality of photos. Here's a full-res, zoomable version of the first one if anyone wants to look at the details: https://srv2.zoomable.ca/viewer.php?i=img1af38bb3a694ebfc_DSCF5494_fullres

The stupidity and ignorance of those comments speaks to how boring Ottawa's architecture is. Like have that many people seriously never seen an angled column before?!?

Here's the storefront. Can't find anything online about it and I didn't see any construction permit so this is likely months away. Some more shots of Greystone, plus a couple bonus comparison pics from this past June: June 2025 January 2026 June 2025 January 2026

From JBPA on Linkedin: Apparently they are preparing to erect a second crane soon.

I'd love if there was a way to access the MUP beside the LRT from the station and vice versa. Yes, there are the stairs on the south side of Lees beside the uOttawa Lees campus, but that's an extra ~150m if your destination is on Lees or an extra 230-300m if your destination is the station...

Ottman, you ought to stop taking pictures while driving. That’s a $615 fine, plus it’s dangerous.

Do you have any more details on the grocery? That would be great news although hopefully it doesn't overlap too much with Nu's current offerings.

Imagine if we got there towers at 10.7 floors each. Hahah. That and the fact that the website says “in the heart of Sandy Hill” is how you know it wasn’t well written.

Oh that looks weird. Is it precast concrete or is it a blocky metal panelling?
