I really don’t understand how Union Station is so nice now but the condition of the Crosstown seems to poor in comparison. You’d think Metrolinx would be better at station maintenance given their experience with GO Transit.

ONDP should probably run on deleting this airport, and turning it into public space, if they want to win some sweet downtown seats. This airport proposal seems to be negatively polarizing people against the airport.

The problem with politicians of an advanced age is that they tend to be psychologically anchored to whenever they were 25. So these politicians tend to speak, and make decisions, as if it’s still the 1970s. Their politics are borderline anachronistic.

Btw, I find the way that Ford, Carney and the Airport are going about this to be incredibly boneheaded. It’s as if they’re trying to cultivate as much opposition as possible.

Also, with HSR coming, this proposal makes no sense. This airport basically exists to shuttle people between Toronto and Montreal. If you need to go outside that range, just take the UPX to person. In fact, now that I think about it, HSR is likely precisely the reason they want this airport...

Doug Ford isn’t doing this for the benefit of Toronto, he’s doing it for his own gain. Especially after he was just caught trying to buy a private jet on taxpayer dollars. So, no, absolutely not. I will never support this.
