    Weird floor plans…

There actually is a TV on the wall shared with the den, right beside the single chair. I think the main challenge (assuming the den was optioned) is the positioning of the bedroom directly behind the kitchen appliances. If the bedroom and balcony/"dining table" were swapped, it would be a lot...

Alto - High Speed Rail (Toronto-Quebec City)

That's fair. I think that it's kinda the intention that Peterborough isn't really "GTA East": From a "400-km view", someone might see a lot of transit lines leading into Union, so they wouldn't see a point in placing another stop so close, especially since the GTA is denser west of Yonge. Those...

I think you're right. From where I grew up in Durham Region, it's about the same time to drive to Peterborough or Union Station, leaning towards the former during rush hour.

    TTC Cartography, Signage, and Wayfinding

They called this out as a concern in the wayfinding strategy they adopted back in October (along with short staffing and how inconsistent the TTC's own signage is). My thinking is the new standard might be a "branded" version of what Metrolinx developed.

    TTC Cartography, Signage, and Wayfinding

Metrolinx uses this symbol for subways and light rail, so it seems the TTC decided to adopt it instead of creating something new.

    TTC Cartography, Signage, and Wayfinding

On the website, they've replaced the subway icon with Metrolinx's version:

One of my friends also mentioned that the Metrolinx symbol seemed red compared to the TTC. Checking the wayfinding standards: Metrolinx (PDF page 94) says the colour is Pantone 165 C or #d24619 TTC (PDF page 13) is using Pantone 021 or #eb8738 The difference is larger than I expected:

I walked through it a couple days ago and pretty much agree (except that I hadn't visited the old tunnels). I'd also add that some of the signage is definitely confusing. The elevator at Line 1 southbound level says it's for Line 1 and 5 (same sign as in this Reddit post, different location)...

I think the designs are more focused on the visual balance. The old map has relatively consistent spacing between stops; the new one positions the Line 4 connection about halfway between Lines 5 and 6 (with the side effect of aligning the streets from Lawrence south).

I never noticed until the maps were updated, but the old ones were arguably worse:

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

No updates from the TTC, not sure what they plan to do here.

I just saw a few TTC and Metrolinx people walking inside Eglinton (the existing Line 1 concourse). One had a clipboard, seemed like they were doing an inspection.

Good news, they agree and used 24-hour time for the customer service hours! Bad news: 22:05 PM 00:35 AM

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

I wrote a couple comments on the ECLRT thread talking about bedding-in as described in the Ottawa LRT report: Of course, the dates aren't right, but bedding in was expected to take longer than RSD…

Alto - High Speed Rail (Toronto-Quebec City)

In response to a question about Bill C-5, the CEO mentioned that they "hope and expect" to be designated as a project of national interest, which could take 4-5 years off the expected timeline (I may have misheard the time savings).
