Cycling and Active Transportation in Edmonton

I heard word that CP started soil remediation last week. Sure it's a long road to selling it back to the city - the hell that soil has seen - but it's now more of a possibility that we can one day connect the 76th aves

    O-day’min Park (formerly Warehouse Park)

If there's one thing that make me feel like I'm losing my freaking mind it's the playgrounds the city builds. Those little rubber orbs near the downtown library, the lame spray parks, and all the other misses of playgrounds around the downtown area make me think these people have never been...

Didn't they just repave that avenue a few summers ago? Definitely a missed opportunity to redo that street because yeah, it looks brutal

    Edmonton | ICE District Phase 2 | 149.95m | ?s | ICE District Prop.

Ah Right. Thanks for sharing! I guess I'm wondering why do we need another influx of cash for OEG when the momentum should be supposedly there from Phase 1? Did Stationlands get government funding? I get that the event centre will be owned by The City, but what about the residential being...

    Edmonton | ICE District Phase 2 | 149.95m | ?s | ICE District Prop.

Remember when the downtown arena was going to be the catalyst for development lol... "oh actually could I have 68 million more, then I'll develop." Don't get me wrong, I'm happy the arena is downtown but it's funny that Katz got millions more in tax payer money for catalyst 2.0 while running...

    Edmonton Breweries & Brewpubs

Nothing to get too excited about but there will be bike infrastructure (bike lane from 83rd ave to 79th, shared pathway 76th-79th) added on happy beer street, 100th ave: This along with improvements to 76th ave through their renewal should increase visibility and make it a friendlier to get...

Cycling and Active Transportation in Edmonton

Yup definitely taken a step back this year - The clearing of the 106th st. bike lane through Allendale has been mediocre: icy, rutty, and full of snow. It's probably partly to due with design but I don't remember it being so bad the last few years

Cycling and Active Transportation in Edmonton

Here's the map of 2025 plans (in red) so nothing changed on sask drive atleast as far as the 100million dollars. It'll be interesting to see how the scale up the program, they didn't complete the less ambitious 2024 plans *blue = complete, green= still underway. 2025 will include a mix of...
