    The Quarters

Imagine if they had established a MDC like Calgary did to maximize the potential of the CRL. Look at East Village vs Quarters.

    Organized Crime

Hey, I'm really interested in the history of organized crime's involvement in real estate development in Edmonton. I know of a few cases, but would love to hear more lore from other members: https://vancouversun.com/news/point-man-for-mackenzie-mill-says-hes-not-sure-who-owns-it...

    Lilac Park | 20.2m | 6s | Westrich Pacific | J+S Architect

People love to rag on architectural controls in the suburbs, but there's long-term value to both community and individual property values in setting minimum quality standards. Not that every suburb gets it right. Setting a minimum number of materials doesn't translate to quality outcomes and...

    General Infill Discussion

Don't denigrate trailer parks. Many are nicer than the infill that is going up. And they're affordable housing.

    Street-cleaning - Where's the Logic???

I would love to see the statistics on how many property owners participated in clearing the grit as requested.

    LRT Safety

There was a city-funded harm reduction team handing out crack pipes in transit property at one point.

    General Infill Discussion

Good thing the City requires three different types of cladding, otherwise we would end up with really ugly looking infill. Clearly the requirement for three different types of cladding is really resulting in excellent product.

    Terwillegar Drive Expansion

Probably because there are deficiencies waiting to be fixed in the spring.

    Downtown Real Estate

For sure that is what's happening. I'm glad the City finally has embraced the idea that parking lots exist and should be regulated instead of pretending they don't and looking the otherway.

Yikes. How many of these are assaults on transit operators?
