    Finch West Line 6 LRT

Travel time using Finch West LRT today at 6pm From Finch West Station to Albion was 30 minutes. What this means is LRT was traveling about 16.68 km per hour. To travel complete 10.3 km would take 37 minutes. Again LRT still travels slow through intersections. Plus lots of delays that could...

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

The distance from Albion to no frills is 200 meters roughly. The distance from stevenson to no frills is 180 meters roughly. That's a 20 meter difference, the equivalent of 6 parking spots. My point being Albion could easily serve shoppers and Stevenson is redundant.

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

Last week I timed distance to walk from Albion to mount olive. Total time was 9 minutes. It was a 4 minute walk from Albion to Stevenson and 5 minutes walk from stevenson to Kipling. I wouldn't necessarily call that a long walk. I think a better idea would be extend 118 Thistletown Bus to...

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

I am saying this based on hypothetical, not what currently is planned. They should remove restrictions at intersections, it makes the LRT painfully slow. They should remove stations that are close to one another. They should gave extended green lights, with extended green lights, my trip could...

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

I rode the finch west LRT again from Finch west station to Albion. Distance covered was 8.44 KM in about 34 minutes This translates to 14.8 km per hour. This means to travel from Finch West Station to Humber College would be 41 minutes 42 seconds. Now with removal of Stevenson...

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

At most it would be a 10 second delay that could result in a 5- 10 minute improvement for the LRT. I think that a valuable trade off. In addition most drivers already drive above speed limit, they would easily be able to make up that loss time

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

I rode the Finch West LRT in the Morning of March 4 2026 from Finch West station to Albion. Below I will break down trip into segments, delays encountered, and what red lights could have been avoided if toronto added extended green lights for approaching LRT vehicles. 1. Finch west station...

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

The only updates I have seen regarding traffic lights is when a red light turns green along finch, the left turn light remains red and LRT trains/straight through traffic gets the green first. After the LRT has passed and straight traffic has proceeded do all light turned red and left turn...

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

I meant 3 actions 1. Improve TSP 2. Increase speed limits 3. Remove speed restrictions crossing intersection. If City does all three actions, I imagine the LRT would run more smoothly

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

One thing that frustrates me is the LRT still slows down to 30km per hour when crossing an intersection, and in some sections it goes slow. I hope once TSP is sloved the city increases the speed limit and removes speed restrictions when crossing intersection. I think if City does all three...

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

I still think LRT lines in toronto can work. The biggest problem with the line is how it was designed, which can be changed in the future. 1. Stations should be minimum 650-700 meters apart. That is a 10 minute walk between stations, which is reasonable. 2. Stations at major intersections...

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

The Finch West lrt should have been built with stations that were grade separated at major intersections such as Albion, Kipling, Islington, Weston, Jane. The curve between Humber college station and Westmore should have been built with a more gentle curve allowing for faster speeds, plus...

    Woodbine Centre

For Woodbine to be properly redeveloped into a lifestyle centre, a few things would need to occur: 1. The Finch West LRT would need to be expanded south toward a new Woodbine GO Station and Pearson Airport. 2. Both retail plazas across from Woodbine Mall would need to be redeveloped into...
