I don't see any fare gates for the pedestrian tunnel so far. Instead the design is showing exit-only doors to be installed between the main tunnel and staircases to platform.

Not sure about fare policy but as per current design for Exhibition station all entrance points are equipped with fare gates, both GO nd OL passengers will have to clear them to enter. The South platform has fare gates at ground level even though it's a GO-only platform and passenger won't need...

The rendering image is a little deceptive with its wide angle perspective. The staircase width in reality is very much standard. For general access the escalators are fixed, but for OL acess they can adjust escalators dynamically based on demande. Escalators configuration - AM Escalators...

They will erect the 4 North Paltform V columns this week and cover all these with steel decks. The rest of the V columns (6 per platform) will be erected in South to North, West to East sequences. By the time of CNE all steel decks should be in place and ready for concrete pour of Concourse slab.

TTC: Automatic Train Control and Subway Platform Screen Doors

From a passenger POV I prefer chest-height PEDs, make the platform significantly less clautrophobic. In Asia they started with this types in the early days before switching to complete full height PEDs in new built stations partly because it helps saving a lot of AC running cost, and their...

i think they opted out of the wrapping to reduce the complexity of wind effect in structural design, which in turn reduce cost and speed up construction timeline. It's not like they struggle to sell out match tickets and need to go extra miles to attract supporters.

Fun fact: most of the steel structures are fabricated in Vietnam and shipped here for assembling. But both the manufacturer and contractor are Canadians.

They have completed the second pier and excavated around the first one for grading and constructing guide beams. I assume this will serve as the base for the permanent fences.
