(seriously): I don't understand why they are not simply building the glass a few meters higher. Surely that would cost less than 0.1% of the total cost of this project but it would make a huge difference. Why is it worth it for them to ruin the design of the tallest and one of the most iconic...

That is also cope. The drawing of Skytower on that doesn't correspond to reality (e.g. the 95th and 96th floors have a higher ceiling than the adjacent floors, which is not what was built) and the drawing of Phase 2 is not the 320 m design that they actually plan on building. I don't know how...

Anyone who thinks that the mechanical roof might not be exposed is coping. The rail climbing systems have been removed and the elevation drawing explicitly show that the current extent of the parapet is what will be built. Plus the architects confirmed this back in July last year.

Does anyone know why the 95th and 96th floors in that diagram (the 7th and 8th floors above the last balcony) have a higher ceiling than the other floors? In reality that was not built and it is not in the other diagram that shows the mechanical penthouse exposed.

I hope that they put the building maintenance unit to the south of that box instead of sticking it on top of it Edit: Sorry I just read the last page and they are going to stick it on the top. Kinda sucks

These developers are pathetic so I wouldn't get my hopes up. Also it's too late to build the parapet such that the mechanical floors won't be exposed like the parapet they were going to build in the 346 meter plan because they already removed the RCS and the concrete for the parapet has been...

They aren't even done pouring it. They also haven't built the parapet yet but in the end it will stick out 7 meters which is even more than it sticks out now. Just horrible

They're building the mechanical penthouse that's gonna be sticking out at the top and visible from New York 🤮

Yeah especially because it isn't centered when looking from the east or west. It's going to be an absolute eyesore.

I don't understand why they don't want to. I don't know how much money they are saving by cheaping out but I would think that it is less than 0.2% of the total cost of this one building but it makes a big difference so it doesn't make sense to me. I could be totally off in that estimate though

How long did it take to change the name of Downsview to Sheppard West? What about Sheppard to Sheppard-Yonge?

I completely agree. It looks great and it will be iconic in a couple decades.

Great diagram but that is an outdated elevation drawing

Imagine if TD gets to put their logo on that "cube" at the top. It would be a twin to the TD cube on TD Canada Trust Tower and the 3rd TD logo in the area
