I'm in suburban NE Calgary having just helped plant a bunch of bur oak and hybrid linden in medians. Driving around some other very recently developed neighborhoods, it's noticeable that bur oak is one of few species that hasn't been showing considerable dieback.

I don't know if it's that it didn't work out or if they just decided they wanted to change focus.

That was fast! In this case it is a six-story.

I wouldn't say the BSS part was that bad, but it was missing the raucous, chaotic energy that made me love BSS in the first place.

For the one by Health Sciences/Jubilee (is that the old nurses' residence?), I believe demolition was foreseen within the next ten-year plan, which is a terrible shame because it is a lovely building. I don't think Humanities is slated to be demolished within that time. I haven't seen any word...
