    I'm at the point now where if developers are agreeing to start projects within the next 12 months, just give them the tax break and get it started. We need the density and units (especially since this one is 400 units for seniors, a growing population), and it works out to about $330K a year...

    I honestly don't understand why they haven't started with the skyscrapers in anticipation of the LRT. .We need the housing, they are already approved, and as is there is already a walkable neighbourhood there with grocery, transit, etc. right at Centrum. Just start building already!

    Seems like it. A + B will still be built by them, and then buildings C, D, F, G are for sale. Seems like those buildings can now be other things too like senior living, hotel, etc. On the other hand, if it means that another developer can start sooner on the other parcels to get the whole...

    I agree. That mall is on it's last legs, and with transit it's so easy for anyone in the area to get to Rideau. Redevelop the land into a small community.
