I usually do not like to be negative with projects, but I do not know why they couldn’t incorporate the bar in the new development on the main floor and the design not that great for the location so close of Dundas Square. Something much better could have used the space. Very disappointing!

Sorry for my ignorance, but what is the issue with this one? I am no expert just a skyscraper and Toronto enthusiast :)

Awesome pictures- wish one yonge wasn’t semi-blocking the CN tower but it’s amazing to see a new view point for the skyline with the bridge and the lights wow!

    Toronto Toronto | Eglinton Line 5 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

I compare it to Ontario Line because the frequency will be approx the same, driver less, screen door, same kind of trains (somewhat) acting like a metro etc. GO not frequent enough at least not for a long time. Like Ontario Line, REM will connect areas that were challenging to access in the...

    Toronto Toronto | Eglinton Line 5 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

To be fair my issue mostly with non grade separated transit then the speed of trains. I am from Montreal where we just got the REM. Ontario Line would compare but smaller in scale and wish Toronto were building more like the REM. Not a fan of LRT’s but will go to Toronto to try them once they...

    Toronto Toronto | Eglinton Line 5 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

This is exactly the problem with many rail projects in Ontario. Speed should be one of the goal and I am stun to hear it’s not the goal to make transit faster and more convenient. I purchase my first car when travel time to get to work was not reasonable and I am sure I am not alone. For the...

    Toronto Toronto | Eglinton Line 5 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

Because Ontario doesn’t seems to know the difference between Rapid Transit and Mass Transit. At the end of the day it’s better than nothing but wish Toronto had more vision.

It’s not an invasive tree and doesn’t look like it’s going to be the only tree planted. Same for every tree we need to be careful over planting it but it’s a sound choice for cities. Wish we would see more gingko and from all cultivars. It’s not that popular with home owners because 1) slow...

Gingko are amazing, branches doesn’t break easy, wind resistant, pollution resistant, low maintenance. It’s a legacy tree. A favourite tree of mine with so many cultivars with different shape and size. It’s true it’s not the favourite trees for birds but my gingko attract a lot of birds and wish...

I really like it but I usually loves buildings other hate. Maybe I have weird taste but LOVES both the building and the video. Toronto looks incredible!

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

Where do I say peoples should suffer? I said finding ways to have an express route ALSO. Or do a mix of LRT and buses. Or do bigger grade separation over time to increase speed. Transit win when both short and long distance are part of the equation. Both are important.

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

I find it very hard to believed this LRT project was the only solution to fix the issue you are mentioning. At the end of day if the residents are happy, I am happy but more could have been done particularly if it’s that busy. And hopefully Toronto will try to find ways to improve travel time...

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

Then they should have kept buses. If we are investing in rapid transit it should be rapid or at least creating an express route otherwise it’s missing the mark. Particularly when you consider all transits can have delay (unavoidable). If the best scenario 33 mins + wait time, it’s bad and...
