    Edmonton International Airport (EIA/YEG)

You sure? I know Porter's expansion from Vancouver is pretty long rumoured, but I can't find any press release about this. You could be confusing it with YHU-YEG which was announced on Tuesday and also begins mid-June.

    Edmonton International Airport (EIA/YEG)

Once again the "Edmonton International Airport" thread has become the "I hate the Calgary International Airport" thread.

Some parts of this project's final plan/usage are solid with regard to reconciliation in my opinion. It just gets tiring when firms or the city release an objectively basic, inoffensive design and shout that somehow because someone who was Indigenous was involved along the journey or that it was...

Porter and Air Canada have bases and onward connections from YUL (and now YHU) to help capture traffic. Westjet does not. Porter and Air Canada (notably AC) have better brand loyalty in Quebec than Westjet does.

    Edmonton International Airport (EIA/YEG)

Porter and the Montreal Metropolitan Airport (formerly St. Hubert) had a bit of an announcement today regarding the routes PD will be starting from YHU this summer. Included 7x weekly YHU-YEG. They begin on June 16th.

    Edmonton International Airport (EIA/YEG)

It occurred at LaGuardia (LGA) not London Gatwick (LGW). Regardless, this is tragic. I hope the FAA (and the administration controlling them) can really get their act together. There was only one controller working both the ground and tower at the time of the accident.

    Forum Issues

I was unable to access the entire forum for the past day-ish. Was getting a 403 error any time I would try to load it. Started working for me again around an hour ago.

Getting Korean to take over YYC-ICN and redeploying that airframe elsewhere would be great, but as much as I want it to happen I don't really see it happening.

    Urban Development and Proposals Discussion

Very curious what this "Stampede Gateway" development is (if it's anything more than just a concept yet), as well as the Big Four replacement that they labelled as "multi-purpose venue". For this new venue I really hope they don't cut corners and make it just a fancy modern box, the BMO Centre...

    Edmonton International Airport (EIA/YEG)

Edmonton has a smaller/less busy airport which is further away from the city, but is also closer to CFB Cold Lake where the CF-18s (and eventually F-35s) are based. It is the objectively better location for the tanker base on paper. That being said, if this rumour is true, I wouldn't be...

I like the new observation deck and small changes to the podium. Don't really care about the height change, it's still importantly going to be the tallest in AB. The balconies do remind me quite a bit of the Stantec tower, for better or for worse. I did more or less expect that unique "wavy"...

    Calgary International Airport

The only major airline I can think of that still operates helicopters is Air Greenland, and it's mainly because lots of these very small communities don't have airports large enough for turboprops in the first place. There is a reason why helicopters for short-haul or "commuter" flights aren't...

    Edmonton International Airport (EIA/YEG)

I think the key is that to boost Edmonton's tourism a substantial amount, the Edmonton-Jasper rail link would have to be high speed, or else it doesn't really pose an advantage. For international tourists looking to go to the rockies, most would opt to fly into Calgary and take a 1.5h train to...

    Calgary International Airport

The earliest number I've heard floating around for deliveries is 2030, haven't seen any official confirmation on that. It's possible some earlier slots could arise but I wouldn't hold my breath for it, WS is just one of many airlines with a B789 order.
