Given how much was spent on that bridge and how wide the path is, the fence makes total sense to me. That entire corridor used to be intimidating on a bike — the bridge was narrow and scary, close to semis rushing by with rocks and dust flying in your face, and the old west sidewalk ran...

ETS Bus and General Transit Improvements

Calgary runs one of the longest LRT systems in North America, and flat fares have arguably incentivized continued sprawl — including the wave of workers commuting from Cochrane, Okotoks, and Airdrie to the nearest station at city limits. There's some logic to a distance-based fare, but the...

50 Street Widening & CP Rail Grade Separation

I've seen plenty of workers here but as you say, only ever a few at once. O-day’min Park (formerly Warehouse Park)

Right after park opening I recall standing in that very spot noticing that the red panels were kinked or 'oil canned' and not fitting great. Based on that I'd guess that this is warranty work.

they paved both of the approach paths last night and left the bridge 'open' this morning without barricades but later this afternoon it looks like the barricades are back so not sure that the bridge is officially open. in any case the deck looks done but still has some tools and garbage sitting...

Valley Line LRT | TransEd/Marigold | City of Edmonton

APTA ridership report is released for Q2 2025, more growth for light rail ridership which one would assume is most boosted by growth on the (still new) Valley Line. Interesting that the vast majority of total ridership growth is on light rail rather than bus.
