    Edmonton International Airport (EIA/YEG)

That's where I fall. I always try to fly from YEG first, but in the end it's about the best option, but I'm not going to fly through YYZ, ORD or some other place simply avoid YYC. I'll pay a little extra to fly from YEG if the schedule works better, but for me it's a combo of schedule and $$.

    Edmonton International Airport (EIA/YEG)

He's exaggerating, but not by much. In my experience the vast majority of Edmontonians don't seem to know or care about YEG's situation. Everyone I know takes the flight that works for them best, and for travel outside of Canada, it usually ends up being through Calgary. Dude, that's the...

Has anyone been following the world hockey tourney? I forgot it was happening.

    Canada Soccer

You’re probably right about Kenney, but at the same time we dodged a bullet. Vancouver’s cost is now over 700 million, to host 7 games. IMO they aren’t getting near the value from it.

Nice to see a construction start on something more of the urban style!

    Currents of Windermere

No offense, but a sea of parking lots, big box stores and bland five story suburban apartment buildings isn’t what I’d call ‘doing it right’. It’s better than the typical suburban sprawl, but not by much.

Seriously? People get paid to write that stuff and keep a straight face 😂

    Edmonton Real Estate Market

I think you're right, at least that's my thoughts also. In Calgary it's desirable to live downtown because people like to be closer to their jobs if they can, it's the same for all cities. I remember seeing I think on the Calgary forum that there are 160k jobs in downtown Calgary compared to...

Belgravia residents need to suck it up, it's called building a vibrant inner city.

The architecture is okay. It’s not Toronto or Vancouver architecture, but it’s decent. The cranes mean more people.

    Edmonton Oilers

It wouldn’t be a bad trade. The worst case scenario would be a draw for the Oilers but with a shot at an upgrade. It would also be a fresh start for both players.

    Edmonton Oilers

Laviolette would be a good pickup for the Oilers. I would be happy to have him as the Jets coach.

    Edmonton International Airport (EIA/YEG)

With all due respect it’s Edmontonians who keep bring up YYC. It’s constantly mentioned all through this thread and MacLabs jabs at Calgary don’t help, they only invite responses. Everytime he puts down Calgary he gets owned by the response. Lol

That’s just Maclac being Maclac, ask him about Winnipeg you’ll get the same response.
