I’m also a fan of the brick, and hopefully that herringbone design on the sidewalk sticks too. I’m just really loving to see that this part of 17th is starting to see some love. Imagine if we had a whole retail/bar scene going from the stampede grounds down 17th ave to 14th street. YES PLEASE!!

Should probably get a thread for this. I mean not a shocker with all the development around the stampede grounds, i think we’re finally seeing the start of a big investment push into that part of 17th ave. Exciting times!

So I asked my friend from earlier about Singapore Sam’s. Yah, it’s going bye bye. They’re moving locations. My money is now on the fairmount going here.

I’m also going to note that one of my friend’s uncle owns Singapore Sam’s. I’m sure he would’ve mentioned that they were going to redevelop the property. To each their own on taking anecdata seriously. I’m going to ask him about this the next time I see him.

The top of the bluff at this part is the Jubilee and the SAIT campus. I don’t think this will impact sight line views of downtown for those residents on the ridge.

Certainly an interesting location for the project… 38 storey tower in Kensington? I don’t know, seems a little out of place. I hope it gets built, but maybe shrink it down a little.

Kind of weird they show MacLeod trail north as 2-way in the renders (and a bike lane?) I’d love to over analyze and read into that as a hint, but I think that it’s just fluff.

Really wonder how that east end of 17th is going to be once Truman finishes the stampede/stampede station hotels. I have a good feeling those developments will really push investors to get 17th properly developed from 4th Street to MacLeod trail. Broadway on 4th will certainly help too once...

I think Scotia Place has unique enough of a design to become an iconic part of the city skyline to people. How many other cities have a flame LED around the exterior of their arena… I love the saddledome and I’ve soaked in every moment I’ve been given in the building now that I work there, but...

Roof will be fully underway by Christmas, with near completion by April. Exterior is expected to be mostly complete by October 2026. No new interior renderings unfortunately.
